April 4, 2024, Bacoor City – Mayor Strike B. Revilla lends unwavering support to the Regional Inter-Agency Committee (RIAC) as they conduct a Compliance Assessment for CY 2023 and On-Site validation in various locations across Bacoor. This initiative aims to evaluate the local government unit’s compliance with the Supreme Court Mandamus to clean, rehabilitate, and preserve Manila Bay, with the goal of restoring and maintaining its waters to SB level.
Mayor Strike Revilla, alongside Atty. Aimee Torrefranca-Nerri and Reginaldo Revilla from DILG Bacoor, graced the event with their presence, showcasing their commitment to the cause. The RIAC team, led by Abel Fulgencio, the PDO II DILG IV-A ISF Focal Person, and supported by Olivia Hermosa, Amaneth Pulido, Nencita Castilo, Rhodora Enopia, and Jerela Bielle Austria, conducted thorough inspections in key locations across Bacoor.
The event was further enriched by the participation of the Save Manila Bay – Bacoor Task Force, with OIC CESD, Rolando R. Vocalan, leading the charge. Together, they witnessed the assessment and reaffirmed their dedication to preserving the beauty and vitality of Manila Bay.
The RIAC, in collaboration with the Save Manila Bay Bacoor Task Force, conducted inspections in significant areas, including Ciudad Kaunlaran in Brgy. Molino 2, the Material Recovery Facility in Brgy. Aniban 1, the River Bike Lane in Brgy. Zapote 3, Plaza De Padre Gomez in Brgy. Poblacion, and a Junkshop in Brgy. Habay 1. These inspections provided valuable insights into the current efforts and identified areas for further improvement.
Hosted at the Strike Multipurpose Hall, this event marked a crucial step towards ensuring Bacoor’s compliance with environmental regulations, particularly those pertaining to the preservation of Manila Bay. Mayor Strike B.
