The City Schools Division of Bacoor has announced that the mode of classes will be shifting from in-person classes to modified class modality due to extreme heat in schools as students attend in-person classes.
This decision was made in response to the Memorandum OASOPS No. 2023-077 titled Reiteration of the Implementation of Modular Distance Learning (MDL) as provided by DepEd Order No. 037, s. 2022.
Starting last May 2 until June 2, 2023, or beyond, 43 schools in the City Schools Division of Bacoor will be implementing the modified class modality, which includes MDL, shortened classes, blended learning, and alternate class schedules depending on the varying contexts in the schools. This move aims and ensuring the well-being of the students while ensuring the continuity of their learning.
The shift in the learning modality followed consultative meetings with school heads, teachers, and parents on April 24, 2023. The discussions focused on carefully considering the needs of learners and teachers to ensure that learning competencies and objectives are met despite the shift in the learning modality.
The City Schools Division of Bacoor assures the public that this decision was made with the best interests of the students and their learning in mind. The division also recognizes the efforts of its stakeholders in ensuring that learning continues despite the challenges brought about by the extreme heat in schools.
