Bacoor City – The City Health Office took the lead in organizing a highly significant City Health Board Meeting held on February 15, 2024, at the Revilla Multi-Purpose Hall. The event gathered key stakeholders to discuss vital health matters and outline plans for the upcoming year.
Mayor Strike B. Revilla, known for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of Bacoor’s residents, spearheaded the meeting. Coun. Rey Palabrica, Chairman of the Committee of Health and Sanitation, also played a crucial role in ensuring the success of the event.
The meeting attracted a diverse group of participants, including Charity Joy Rallos from the Office of the Vice Mayor, Atty. Aimee Torrefrangco-Neri, the City Administrator, Dra. Ivy Marie Yrastorza, Head of the City Health Office, Dra. Armida Camposagrado from the Department of Health (DOH), Ms. Rosalie Santos, President of Barangay Health Workers, Ms. Cristina O. Alalto from CSWD – Nutrition, and representatives from private lying-in clinics such as Ms. Carmen Aquino, Ms. Estrellita M. Alo, Ms. Ana Lilian Pelayo, and Ms. Mairene Verde and Ms. Lailane Sanchez from the City Health Office.
The primary objective of the City Health Board Meeting was to present the 2023 Annual Report of the City Health Office and discuss the plans and activities for 2024. Additionally, the meeting addressed the registration and accreditation process for Barangay Health Workers (BHW) and other pertinent matters. The participants engaged in constructive dialogues, sharing valuable insights to further enhance the city’s healthcare initiatives and ensure the well-being of its residents.
