November 13, 2024 – The City Government of Bacoor, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD) and the Liga ng Barangay, continued its commitment to improving the nutritional well-being of Bacooreños with the 4th Quarter BNS/BNC Meeting cum 2024 Program Implementation Review (Batch 2) today at the Bulwagan ng Liga ng Barangay.
The event brought together Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Kapitan, and Kagawad from across the city to review the progress of nutrition programs and discuss strategies for the upcoming year. Councilor Reynaldo Palabrica delivered a message of support, emphasizing the importance of nutrition in promoting the overall health and well-being of Bacooreños. Former Barangay Captain Udoy Brillantes also graced the event.
The meeting featured presentations on key nutrition programs, including the Hapag Project Status Updating by Ms. Rosalie T. Regulacion and Urban Nutrition (UNO) Gardening by Mr. Allan Chua, City Agriculture Head. Discussions focused on reviewing the implementation of existing programs, identifying areas for improvement, and setting targets for 2025. Ms. Cristina Elalto delivered closing remarks, emphasizing the crucial role of BNS and Barangay officials in promoting healthy eating habits and ensuring the nutritional well-being of their communities.
