Bacoor City – The Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (LEDIPO) took the initiative to organize an orientation event titled “Making Sustainable Business Reachable for Kabataang Bacooreños.” held. at the Bulwagan ng Liga ng Barangay on March 12, 2024, the event aimed to empower the youth and provide them with the necessary knowledge and skills to thrive in the world of sustainable business.
The event was attended by prominent figures, including Bacoor City Mayor Strike B. Revilla, who emphasized the significance of youth empowerment in driving economic growth and development. Also in attendance was Ms. Khei Javier Sanchez, the head of LEDIPO, who played a pivotal role in organizing the event and ensuring its success. Ms. Angelie Sisante, a Research Specialist II from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), also graced the event, sharing her expertise on integrating scientific advancements into sustainable business practices.
The orientation event saw enthusiastic participation from students representing various educational institutions, including Cavite State University, Dulong Bayan Senior High School, University of Perpetual Help, and Saint Alphonsus. These young minds were eager to learn and explore the possibilities of starting their own businesses while promoting sustainability.
The primary purpose of the event was to provide an overview of the upcoming Mini Trade Fair, aptly named “Making Sustainable Business Reachable para sa Kabataang Bacooreños.” Scheduled to take place at the Bacoor City Hall Lobby on March 19, 2024, from 8AM to 5PM, the fair aims to showcase the entrepreneurial skills and innovative ideas of the youth in Bacoor. It will serve as a platform for young entrepreneurs to network, collaborate, and present their products and services to a wider audience.
During the orientation, participants were exposed to valuable information on sustainable business practices, marketing strategies, and financial management. Experts in the field shared their knowledge and experiences, inspiring the young entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams and contribute to the local economy.
Mayor Strike B. Revilla expressed his optimism about the future of Bacoor’s youth, stating, “By equipping them with the necessary tools, knowledge, and opportunities, we are paving the way for a brighter and more sustainable future for our city.”
The event concluded with an interactive session, providing participants with the opportunity to ask questions, seek guidance, and exchange ideas with the speakers and fellow attendees. The orientation event served as a stepping stone for the youth of Bacoor, empowering them to take charge of their entrepreneurial journey and make a positive impact in their community.
As the date of the Mini Trade Fair approaches, Bacoor City eagerly anticipates the innovative and sustainable business ideas that will be showcased by the Kabataang Bacooreños. This event serves as a testament to the city’s commitment to nurturing young talents and creating an environment that supports sustainable economic growth.
