The City Government of Bacoor is urging its residents and the general public to be cautious as they uncover the illegal trade of counterfeit Bacoor solidarity stickers on a popular online shopping platform.
To preserve the integrity of Bacoor’s solidarity initiatives, local law enforcement teams have uncovered the disturbing sale of these fake solidarity stickers.
The Bacoor Component City Police Station (Warrant Section) is actively pursuing the case to ensure that those responsible for this fraudulent activity are held accountable. While the identities of the individuals involved remain confidential due to ongoing investigations, Mayor Strike B. Revilla and other city officials emphasize that the sale and purchase of fake solidarity stickers are illegal and undermine community efforts.
In accordance with Bacoor City Ordinance, 332-2023, which aligns with the Republic Act no. 7394 or the Consumer Act of the Philippines, these deceptive practices are strictly prohibited. Anyone found guilty of violating this ordinance will face severe legal consequences, including fines and imprisonment.
The City Government of Bacoor encourages all citizens to remain vigilant and refrain from supporting any illicit trade involving fake solidarity stickers. The purchase of these counterfeit items violates city regulations and devalues genuine solidarity efforts to foster community support and development.
The Bacoor Component City Police Station has assured the public that they will collaborate with online shopping platforms to combat the illegal sale of these stickers. They will also conduct follow-up operations to prevent further distribution of the counterfeit items. The City Government of Bacoor remains dedicated to protecting its citizens and upholding the law, ensuring a secure, fair, and just city for all.
