At this morning’s flag raising ceremony, the joint resolution of Color Guard Alliance of the Philippines Inc. (CGAP Inc.), DrumLines of the Philippines Inc. (DLP), Pambansang Samahan ng mga Banda sa Pilipinas, Inc. (PASAMBAP), PhilBanda Inc. (PBI), Philippine Baton Twirling Association Inc. (PBTA Inc.) and Philippine Drum and Lyre Associates Inc. (PDLAi) declaring the City of Bacoor as the Marching Band Capital of the Philippines was formally presented to the public. Validating the city’s rich musical heritage, Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado Revilla accepted the declaration together with the rest of the members of the Sangguniang Panglungsod.

The joint resolution was certified and approved by Patricia Real Barairo, Founder/Executive Director of Color Guard Alliance of the Philippines Inc. (represented by Lyka Cartagenas); Jason C. Cariño, President of DrumLines of the Philippines Inc; Arnaldo N. Custodio, President of Pambansang Samahan ng mga Banda sa Pilipinas Inc. (represented by Dr. Paul Atienza); Lt. Col. Xavier C. Celestial, President of PhilBanda Inc.; Alexandra Nicole A. Cordez, Vice President of Philippine Baton Twirling Association Inc.; and Ryan Gleserio P. Palamos, President of Philippine Drum & Lyre Associates Inc. Kosin Suebprasitwong, President of Asian Marching Band Confederation, served as a witness to the declaration.
