For this year, in celebration of National Tech-Voc Day, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) – Cavite is now preparing the conduct of the World Café of Opportunities (WCO) in the province of Cavite.
The National Tech-Voc Day was established under RA 10970 wherein the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) conducted the yearly program in celebration of this special working holiday.
The World Cafe of Opportunities (WCO) through the Job Linkaging and Networking Services (JoLiNS) of
TESDA which was institutionalized through TESDA Circular No. 38 series of 2016, hopes to shorten the job-hunting process for our certified TVET graduates and alumni in order to combat poverty and to support the TESDA’s three-pronged approach to poverty alleviation.
In collaboration with the Local Government of Dasmariñas City, the Provincial Government of Cavite, the Provincial Public Employment Service (PESO) of Cavite, and the Association of Cavite Training Institutions and Vocational Educators, Inc. (ACTIVE), the event will take place on August 22, 2023, at the SM Dasmarias City, Cavite. Job seekers will benefit from this activity, particularly TVET graduates.
With the support of the invited industry employers from various sectors (construction, agriculture, manufacturing, and tourism ) and national government organizations like the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Social Security System (SSS), PAG-BIG, and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), the activity will act as a conduit between job seekers and employers.
At the event, the Divine Mercy International Institute Inc. and Chef’s Den Culinary Institute and Assessment Center will present skills demonstrations on barista and cookery while the Dasmarinas City’s local government will host a trade fair for the occasion to showcase their local products.
TESDA Cavite is looking forward to a high percentage of job applicants that will be Hired on the Spot
(HOTS) as the success indicator of the World Café of Opportunities (WCO).
