Bacoor City, Philippines – As per directive of Mayor Strike B. Revilla of the City Government of Bacoor through the Bacoor Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (BDRRMO), headed by Mr. Richard Quion, a Basic First Aid Training for Safety Officers was held on June 1, 2023, as part of the city’s commitment, ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens. The event was held at the 5th Floor Function Hall of the Legislative and Disaster Resilience Building, Bacoor Government Center.
The training was attended by Bacoor City Department’s Safety Officers and was facilitated by Ms. Jonamae S. Fabale, a Philippine Red Cross Volunteer. The training covered basic first aid techniques and emergency response procedures, equipping the Safety Officers with the necessary skills and knowledge to respond to emergencies and provide immediate assistance to those who need it.
Mayor Strike B. Revilla expressed his support for the project and emphasized the importance of the Safety Officers’ role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the community. He hopes that the success of this project will pave the way for its implementation and sharing with all Bacooreños.
The event was graced by Ms. Angie C. Cariasco, Officer-in-Charge of the Local Youth Development Office, who presented a message of support, and Mr. Manolo S. Galvez, Jr., an SO2 Safety Officer. Hon. Rowena Bautista-Mendiola, Vice Mayor of Bacoor, also delivered an inspirational message to the attendees.
The City Government of Bacoor remains committed to its mission of building a more resilient and prepared community. Through initiatives like this Basic First Aid Training, the council aims to equip its Safety Officers with the necessary skills and knowledge to respond to emergencies and provide immediate assistance to those who need it.
