Bacoor City, March 12, 2025 – Mayor Strike B. Revilla welcomed two talented Bacooreño ice hockey athletes, Illena Venice C. Jimenez and Althea Lilian C. Jimenez, to his office today. The sisters, who are both accomplished ice hockey players, paid a courtesy visit to receive the Mayor’s support for their upcoming participation in the National Tournament in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from June 2-7, 2025.
Illena Venice C. Jimenez, a silver medalist from tournaments in Kyrgyzstan and the UAE, and Althea Lilian C. Jimenez, a bronze medalist from Thailand, are both members of the Philippine Women’s Ice Hockey Team. They are determined to represent the Philippines with pride and bring home a medal from the upcoming National Tournament.
Mayor Revilla expressed his admiration for the sisters’ dedication and achievements in ice hockey. He acknowledged their talent and commitment to the sport, and pledged his full support for their participation in the National Tournament. He encouraged them to continue pursuing their passion for ice hockey and to strive for excellence in their athletic endeavors.
The sisters’ visit to Mayor Revilla is a testament to their dedication to their sport and their desire to represent Bacoor and the Philippines on the international stage.
