At this morning’s flag raising ceremony, city government officials shared the success of the recently concluded celebration of the sixth anniversary of Bacoor’s cityhood and the Bacoor International Music Championships.
In her speech, Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado Revilla expressed her infinite gratitude.
“Isang matagumpay at patuloy na nananagumpay na umaga sa inyong lahat! Congratulations sa ating lahat for the success of the City of Bacoor International Music Competitions 2018! Congratulations sa ating lahat for the success of the Winter Guard International competitions! Congratulations for the success of the 6th Bacoor Cityhood Anniversary celebration!
Gusto kong i-congratulate ang lahat ng winners sa iba’t ibang events, sa iba’t ibang categories. Sana ay natuwa kayo sa pagkakataong ipinagkaloob namin para maipamalas ninyo ang inyong kakaibang galling, talino at kakayahan. Again, congratulations!
At siyempre pa, ngayon ang panahon ng walang hanggang salamat. Salamat sa naging partner natin, ang City of Manila, particular ang alkalde na si Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada.
Salamat sa lahat ng ating naging panauhin mula sa government sector – tulad nina Ilocos Norte Vice Governor Imee Marcos, Davao City First District Rep. Karlo Alexie Nograles, at Manila Congressman Manny Lopez na nakasama natin sa iba’t ibang events and ceremonies.
Salamat sa Provincial Government of Cavite headed by Governor Boying Remulla and Vice Governor Jolo Revilla.
Salamat sa Asian Marching Band Conferation and Winter Guard International Philippines.
Salamat sa Philippine Sports Commission headed by Chairman Butch Ramirez.
Salamat sa lahat ng participating bands from all over the Philippines as well as the delegations from other parts of the world namely those from Indonesia, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, and Hong Kong.
Salamat sa lahat ng ating sponsors – they are too many to mention here – pero nag-uumapaw ang ating pasasalamat sa kanilang lahat. May your tribe increase. Dumami at lumaki pa nawa kayo next year at sa mga succeeding years!
Sa lahat ng mga elected officials – mula sa ating city council headed by Vice Mayor Karen down to all the barangay captains, maraming salamat. Personal akong nagpapasalamat sa inyong lahat for your total, unqualified support.
Kay Congressman Strike Revilla – the vision to declare the City of Bacoor as the Marching Band Capital of the Philippines came from his brilliant mind – maraming salamat.
Sa lahat ng mga department heads at sa lahat ng mga nasailalim ng inyong pamamahala – na nag-ambag ng malaki man o maliit pero ang lahat ng ambag ay importante, alam kong you responded to the challenge beyond the call of duty, maraming salamat. Alam ko kung sino-sino kayo, I am deeply thankful.
Sa lahat ng mga kulang ang tulog sa loob ng mahigit isang linggo, na ang iba pa ay nagkasakit na nang tuluyan, maraming salamat. Matulog na kayo!
Sa lahat ng mga na-stress nang sobra, na-tension nang sobra, na-pressure nang sobra, pero sa huli ay nagalak nang sobra at natuwa nang sobra at na-excite nang sobra dahil sa it has all been worth it, maraming salamat. Savor the moment and give yourself a pat on the back. May this experience not break you but make you even stronger.
Sa lahat ng mga nagkagalit, nag-away, at nagkagulo, magbati-bati na kayo at i-congratulate nyo ang isa’t isa for a job well done, maraming salamat. Magpatawaran na kayo at move on na. Huwag nang magkimkiman ng anumang negative emotions sa isa’t isa.
Sa lahat ng ating naging bisita at panauhin, sa lahat ng nanood at namangha, sa lahat ng naka-experience ng kakaibang adeventure na ito, maraming salamat. See you all again next year at magdala pa kayo ng mga kaibigan ninyo. This is just the beginning; the best is yet to come.

We have set a very high bar of excellence in this First City of Bacoor International Music Championships. And we will build on it every year. Sa bawat taon, we promise to make it even better, bigger, grander, more exciting, more spectacular!
We have learned a lot from the past days and weeks and months.
Una, we have learned that there is nothing we cannot do kapag tayo ay nagkaisa.
Pangalawa, we have learned that there are things bigger, larger, and more important than ourselves and we should be able to set aside our selfishness to be a part of the collective effort for the benefit of all.
Pangatlo, dream big, achieve big. And from this point on, there will be no turning back. There are higher mountains to climb, the sky is limitless for us to fly. Ang tanging limitasyon na makakapagpigil sa anumang ating pangarapin ay ang limitasyon na tayo rin ang nagbibigay sa ating sarili.”
