The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) marked its 33rd Anniversary with a grand ceremony dedicated to honoring outstanding contributions to public service and safety. Among the distinguished honorees was the City Government of Bacoor, which received a Special Award.
This accolade was awarded to Bacoor in recognition of the City Government’s steadfast support for the BJMP, a commitment spearheaded by Mayor Strike B. Revilla and the Sangguniang Panglungsod Members under the leadership of Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola.
Bacoor City’s significant contributions included the allocation of Php 11,750,000.00 to enhance the Bacoor City Jail Female Dormitory Facility. This funding facilitated the construction of a covered court, the installation of electrical wiring, and the provision of a water pump. Moreover, Bacoor City extended logistical support valued at Php 4,405,000.00, which included a vehicle and essential office materials to ensure the efficient operation of the jail.
Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola accepted the special award on behalf of Mayor Strike B. Revilla, acknowledging the leadership and support provided to the BJMP by the City Government of Bacoor.
The prestigious event took place at Tejeros Hall, AFP Commissioned Officer’s Clubhouses, Camp Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, De Jesus Avenue, Quezon City, Metro Manila on July 1, 2024.
