President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has placed the country under state of calamity through Proclamation 1143 to ramp up the response actions in addressing the impacts of the African Swine Fever outbreak. The proclamation was made following the NDRRMC’s recommendation to declare a state of calamity after assessing the impacts of ASF.
