The Department of Education (DEPED) recently organized a highly anticipated event, bringing together the Bacoor Local School Board at the SBR Conference Room on March 26, 2024. The meeting was attended by a diverse group of individuals, including prominent figures such as Mayor Strike B. Revilla, Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista-Mendiola, and SK Federation President Coun. Palm Angel Buncio, to discuss crucial matters concerning the local education system.
The event saw the participation of key stakeholders from various sectors. Notable attendees included Atty. Paul MG Sangalang from the Mayor’s Office, Ms. Elvinia Guerero the head of budget office, and Atty. Bernadette Carrasco from the office of Cong. Lani Mercado Revilla, Dr. Babylyn M. Pambid, CESO VI, OIC-Schools Division Superintendent, Mrs. Elizabeth F. Ocampo, Administrative Officer V, Mr. Domingo Sagnib Jr. from the Teacher’s Federation, Kagawad Cherry Torres from the Federation Parent Teachers Association, Ms. Salve Valeriano from OSLS, Mr. Christian Barit from the City Engineering Office, and Ms. Normalyn Lim from CTO were also present, representing their respective organizations.
The primary objective of the meeting was to address several important agenda. One of the key topics discussed was the realignment of the budget, aiming to ensure that funds are allocated strategically to support the needs of the local schools. In addition, the meeting served as a platform to announce and celebrate the outstanding achievements of Bacoor City’s students in the Regional School Press Conference (RSPC) and the 20th National Science Quest. The participants acknowledged the hard work and dedication of the students who represented Bacoor City, showcasing their talents and skills in these prestigious competitions.
The gathering also provided an opportunity to receive updates on ongoing construction and repair projects within the local schools.
