BACOOOR CITY, Cavite – The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla and Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, hosted a flag-raising ceremony on June 30, 2025, at the Strike Gymnasium. The event, organized in collaboration with the Zoning and Land Development Department and Vizakol Luzon, highlighted the city’s progress and fostered a sense of unity among its constituents.
The ceremony commenced with opening prayers led by Pastor Cezar Roxas, followed by the entrance of the colors by PNP Bacoor personnel and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem by the Bacoor Unity Band. Ms. Gemma Vinzon Tongo led the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, while Ms. Kimberly Joyce S. Jaca administered the Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan. Engr. Sherwin B. Valeroso delivered the Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas, and Mr. John Rey Bataller presented the Quality Policy Statement. The Harmonic Voice Chorale of Cavite State University Bacoor Campus performed the AVP of Bagong Pilipinas, along with the Cavite and Bacoor Hymns.
City Councilor Alde Pagulayan, from District 2 and incoming Board Member, delivered the opening remarks. A presentation on the Senior Citizens Productivity Program 2025 was given by PESO Bacoor, followed by an intermission number by Vizakol Luzon. Engr. Arthur San Jose, head of the Zoning and Land Development Department, presented an accomplishment report.
Atty. Richard L. Manila, C.E., Regional Director of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Region IV-A, served as the guest speaker. Another intermission number was performed by the Zoning and Land Development Department staff, followed by Mayor Revilla’s special message and weekly accomplishment report. The event showcased a collaborative effort between the city government, its departments, and private organizations, underscoring Bacoor’s commitment to progress and community development.
