Bacoor City, March 25, 2024 – Mayor Strike B. Revilla led a meeting today at the Strike Conference Room with representatives from the Department of Transportation (DOTr), JSLA Architects, JGHM, VAA Properties, Inc. / VAA Builders Corp., and the City Government of Bacoor to discuss traffic mitigation strategies in anticipation of the construction of the LRT Niog station.
The meeting, organized by the City Government of Bacoor through the Office of the City Administrator led by Atty. Aimee Torrefrangca-Neri, aimed to develop solutions to address potential traffic congestion that may arise during the construction and operation of the LRT Cavite Extension, particularly in the Niog Road area.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders from various sectors, including: Mayor Strike B. Revilla, Atty. Kim Nyca Lofranco (City Legal Head), Engr. Arthur San Jose (Zoning and Land Development Dept. Head) from the City Government of Bacoor; Architects Jose Siao Ling, Joshua Ramos, and Mr. Jomarie Deplomo from JSLA Architects; Mr. Manuel Chua and Mr. Gonzalo Chua from JGHM; Atty. Ayi Luna and Mr. John Mactal from VAA Properties, Inc. / VAA Builders Corp; and Ms. Namely Lacuesta, Ms. Consuelo Charisma, and Mr. Open Tizon from the DOTr.
The meeting focused on identifying potential traffic bottlenecks and exploring alternative solutions to ensure smooth traffic flow during the construction and operation of the LRT station. The City Government is committed to working closely with all stakeholders to minimize disruption and ensure a positive impact on the community.
