Earlier today, the City Government of Bacoor, led by City Mayor Strike B. Revilla, successfully conducted a technical briefing on the full implementation of the PalengQR Program. The program is a priority project designed to enhance public services and promote convenience by encouraging digital payments in public markets.
The briefing, held at 10 AM at Revilla Hall, Bacoor Government Center, was facilitated in collaboration with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). Representing the BSP were Jose Roberto Almeda, Senior Research Specialist, and Karrel Saskia Odiver, Bank Officer II, both from the BSP South Luzon Regional Office.
The event was attended by heads of various City Departments and Units, representatives from various NGOs, city employees, representatives from all public markets, as well as members of different business associations from Bacoor.
“The PalengQR Program is a strategic initiative to digitize and streamline our services. Today’s briefing was a crucial step towards educating our stakeholders about the benefits and implementation of this technology,” said Mayor Revilla. “We are grateful for the active participation of everyone involved and for the collaboration with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. We look forward to the successful roll-out of this Program.”
The City Government of Bacoor deeply appreciates the participation, support, and contributions of all attendees. The full implementation of the PalengQR Program symbolizes a significant stride toward Bacoor City’s digital transformation and the creation of a smart and sustainable city.
