Bacoor City – The Ecotrend Covered Court in Barangay San Nicolas 1 was filled with laughter, games, and community spirit on August 24, 2024, as residents gathered for the Strike Family Day. Organized by City Government of Bacoor, the event was a testament to the strong bonds within the community and a celebration of family and togetherness.
While Mayor Strike B. Revilla, Vice-Mayor Rowena Bautista-Mendiola, Congresswoman Lani Mercado-Revilla, and Cong. Bryan Revilla of the Agimat Partylist were unable to attend, their presence was felt through the spirit of the event, which was a project of Team Revilla.
The day was filled with fun activities for all ages, including free food, a photo booth, a sing-along contest, an inflatable slide, and free haircuts provided by the Strike Bacoor Rainbow Community (SBRC). The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) also conducted fire prevention training, ensuring the safety of all attendees.
The event was made possible through the collaboration of individuals & various community groups, including: Led by Mr. Manolo “KUYA NOLI” Galvez to the help of by Triskelion Grand Fraternity Tau Gamma Phi (from various chapters in Bacoor City), SBR-KKK Members, SK San Nicolas 1 led by SK Chairwoman Yesha Althea Dollete Alavera and the SK Council, Barangay San Nicolas 1 led by Kap Alfredo Kalinisan and the council, UGNAY Officers, LGBT Pilipinas Bacoor (Flag) led by Armiebarbara Betsayda Tugel, and Bacoor Alliance Pinagbuklod led by Nanay Baby Batilo.
The Strike Family Day was a resounding success, showcasing the strong sense of community in Barangay San Nicolas 1. It was a day for families to bond, for neighbors to connect, and for the community to come together in celebration.
