Bacoor City, Philippines – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. demonstrated solidarity with the 1,029 families in Bacoor City affected by Typhoon Enteng by providing substantial financial assistance. The President, through his office, distributed Financial Assistance per family to aid in their recovery from the typhoon’s devastation.
The aid distribution ceremony, held at the Strike Gymnasium on September 13, 2024, was a collaborative effort between the Office of the President, the Office of Congresswoman Lani Mercado Revilla, and the City Government of Bacoor led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla. The event also coincided with the celebration of Bacoor City’s 353rd anniversary and President Marcos Jr.’s birthday.
Despite being unable to attend in person, President Marcos Jr. sent a video message expressing his concern and support for the affected families. He emphasized the importance of government assistance in helping communities rebuild after natural disasters. The event was graced by the presence of Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, Coun. Reynaldo Palabrica, Coun. Alde Pagulayan, Coun. Obet Advincula, Coun. Simplicio Dominquez, and LnB Vice President Randy Francisco. Special thanks were also extended to Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., BM Ram Revilla, and Cong. Bryan Revilla of the Agimat Partylist for their unwavering support.
The families, many of whom lost their belongings during the typhoon, expressed their gratitude for the timely support. The event served as a testament to the government’s commitment to providing immediate relief and support to Filipinos affected by natural disasters, highlighting the importance of community collaboration in times of need.
