Bacoor City, June 9, 2025 – A significant flag-raising ceremony was held at the Strike Gymnasium, jointly hosted by the Bacoor City Office of Population Development and the Federation of Agimat Vendors. The event, organized under the leadership of Mayor Strike B. Revilla and Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, drew a large and diverse crowd of city officials, employees, and community members. Councilor Mike Solis and SK Federation President Palm Angel Buncio were among the notable attendees. The ceremony began with opening prayers led by the City Transportation Office, followed by the formal entrance of the colors presented by Bacoor City PNP personnel and a performance of the Philippine National Anthem by the Bacoor Unity Band.
Various oaths and pledges were recited, with Ms. Camille T. Guantero leading the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, Ms. Rowena Santiago leading the Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan, and Ms. Angelica Lambating leading the Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas. Mr. Wilson S. Mallari delivered the Quality Policy Statement, and the Bacoor Hope Children Chorus provided musical performances, including the Bagong Pilipinas, the Cavite Hymn, and the Bacoor Hymn. Opening remarks were given by SK Federation President Palm Angel Buncio. A key moment in the ceremony was the awarding of the Medalya ng Kagitingan to Bacoor PNP personnel by the Office of the Chief, PNP, National Headquarters. Following this, the Office of Population Development presented its accomplishment report. Mr. Niel Ivan E. Quitangon (Planning Officer, Commission of Population and Development – Calabarzon) introduced the speaker, Ms. Marilyn E. Ogaya (Regional Director, Commission of Population and Development – Calabarzon), who then addressed the attendees.
Councilor Mike Solis concluded the ceremony with a special message on behalf of Mayor Revilla, sharing the city’s weekly accomplishments. The event successfully showcased the city’s commitment to public service and highlighted the importance of population development initiatives.
