Bacoor City, August 28, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla and Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, hosted a meaningful Flag Raising Ceremony at the Strike Gymnasium today, commemorating National Flag Day. The event brought together various stakeholders, including city officials, employees, government agencies, NGOs, and community members, to celebrate national unity and public service.
The ceremony began with opening prayers led by Pastor Cezar Roxas, setting a solemn and reflective tone. It then featured a series of patriotic activities, including the entrance of colors by BFP Bacoor personnel, the singing of the Philippine National Anthem by the Bacoor Unity Band, and the recitation of the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas by Ms. Analiza Bilon and the Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan by Mr. Ron Ferrer. The event also highlighted the commitment to public service with the Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas by Mr. Kenric Tejuco and the Quality Policy Statement by Ms. Vi Jimenez.
The Harmonic Voices Chorale of Cavite State University – Bacoor delivered a special performance, captivating the audience with their renditions of “Bagong Pilipinas,” the Cavite Hymn, and the Bacoor Hymn.
The ceremony also featured an intermission number by the NGO Pinagkaisang Kababaihan para sa Kabuhayan, led by Pres. Gleceria Abelgas, and a ceremonial distribution of honorarium for 4P’s Parent Leaders.
An audio-visual presentation showcasing the work of the Bacoor PESO, headed by Doc Abraham “BOB” de Castro, was also presented.
The ceremony concluded with a message from Director Marivic B. Martinez, Provincial Director of DOLE – Cavite, and a special message from Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola representing Mayor Strike B. Revilla, highlighting the City Government’s weekly accomplishments.
The Flag Raising Ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the shared values and aspirations of the Bacoor community, emphasizing the importance of unity, service, and progress in building a brighter future for the city.
