The City Government of Bacoor, through the Office for the Development of Cooperatives, held a flag-raising ceremony this morning, October 7, 2024, at the Strike Gymnasium to commemorate National Cooperative Month. The event brought together city officials, department heads, employees, and members of various organizations to celebrate the spirit of cooperation and community.
The ceremony was graced by Sangguniang Panglungsod members, department heads and unit heads led by Atty. Aimee Torrefranca Neri, representatives from DILG, PNL/BFP/BJMP/BTMD, DepEd Bacoor, Osca members, PWDs, and various NGOs.
The ceremony commenced with an opening prayer led by Pastor Miguel Mike Bautista of the Bacoor City Transformation Office. The entrance of the colors was conducted by PNP Bacoor personnel, followed by the rendition of the Philippine National Anthem by the Bacoor Unity Band. The ceremony featured the traditional oaths of allegiance, including the Panunumpa sa Watawat led by Ms. Eva S. Alimorong, the Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan by Ms. Angelica Lambating, and the Panata ng Bagong Pilipinas by Ms. Marivic Soria. Ms. Leonor Miranda delivered the Quality Policy Statement.
The ceremony concluded with the singing of the Bagong Pilipinas, Cavite Hym and Bacoor Hym by the DepEd Bacoor Choir and Bacoor Unity Band.
Councilor Robert Advincula, representing the 2nd District, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the significance of cooperatives in fostering economic empowerment and community development. An AVP showcasing the accomplishments of the Office of the Development of Cooperatives, led by Ms. Vicky Lazaro, and the Bacoor City Employees Multi-purpose Cooperative was presented.
Mayor Strike B. Revilla, through Councilor Reynaldo Palabrica, delivered a special message emphasizing the city’s commitment to supporting and promoting cooperatives as crucial partners in fostering sustainable economic growth in Bacoor.
The flag-raising ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the importance of collaboration and unity in building a stronger and more prosperous community. It celebrated the contributions of cooperatives in Bacoor and underscored the city’s commitment to supporting their growth and development.
