This year, 67 motivated students will join the program, each ready to learn, grow, and earn as they contribute to their community. At the heart of SPES is the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), ably led by Dr. Abraham De Castro, which works in close partnership with the DOLE–Cavite Provincial Office, headed by Provincial Director Marivic Martinez.
Together, they ensure that Bacoor’s implementation adheres to national standards while staying attuned to the real needs of our students. Financially, this is a genuine shared investment. The City Government of Bacoor covers 60% of the students’ salaries, while DOLE contributes the remaining 40%, underscoring the deep commitment to nurture young minds and talents. The Human Resources Development & Management Department (HRDMD) plays a central role in assigning participants to various offices around City Hall. Whether assisting with clerical tasks, filing, or public service interactions, students gain vital on-the-job training that sharpens their administrative skills and fosters a professional mindset. Mayor Strike B. Revilla has been a vocal champion of SPES, seeing it as more than just a job, it’s a launching pad for lifelong success. Under his “Strike as One” banner, he underscores the idea that every youth’s growth is a collective victory for Bacoor.
Why SPES 2025 matters: Hands‑on work training. Participants engage in real office duties—filing documents, assisting staff, interacting with the public—growing familiarity with office environments. Financial support. Earnings help students buy supplies, pay for tuition, or cover daily school expenses—relieving pressure on families. Career exposure. Early exposure to public sector work helps students explore future fields like governance, business, or social services. Mayor Strike’s support adds momentum and pride to the program. His leadership ensures SPES remains a key part of Bacoor’s youth development strategy, reflecting his long-standing vision of meaningful opportunities for all Bacooreños
