Mayor Strike B. Revilla of Bacoor City, accompanied by City Administrator Atty. Aimee Torrefranco-Neri, met with Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jerry Acuzar and his undersecretaries, Usec. Garry De Guzman and Usec. Randy Escolango, along with Director Jan Robi Otero and OIC RD JP Ilao, today, September 12, 2024, to discuss the plight of the victims of a recent fire incident. The meeting was organized by the Office of the Mayor.
During the meeting, Mayor Revilla highlighted the urgent need for assistance for the fire victims. Through his initiative, DHSUD has committed to providing the following:
1. Integrated Disaster Shelter Assistance: This will provide support to the fire victims to help them rebuild their homes.
2. Temporary Shelter: DHSUD will provide temporary shelter for displaced Informal Settler Families (ISFs) who are qualified for the 4Ps program.
In addition to these commitments, Sec. Acuzar also promised to assist Mayor Revilla in expediting the implementation of his 4Ps projects in Bacoor.
The meeting underscores the strong partnership between the City of Bacoor and DHSUD in addressing the needs of the community. This collaboration will ensure that the fire victims receive the necessary support and assistance in rebuilding their lives.
