Bacoor City, May 5, 2025 – Mayor Strike B. Revilla administered the oath to 310 officers from 25 different cooperatives in Bacoor today at the Revilla Hall, marking a significant step in strengthening the cooperative movement in the city. The event was organized by the City Government of Bacoor, through the Office for the Development of Cooperatives (COOP), led by Ms. Vicente M. Lazaro.
The ceremony was also attended by Councilor Roberto Advincula and Councilor Karen S. Evaristo. Mayor Revilla, in his address, emphasized the City Government’s commitment to supporting the growth and development of cooperatives in Bacoor. He encouraged the cooperatives to submit proposals outlining their needs and challenges, assuring them that the City Government will work collaboratively to find solutions and provide necessary assistance.
The oath-taking ceremony signifies the cooperatives’ commitment to upholding the principles of cooperativeism and working towards the betterment of their members and the community. The event highlighted the City Government’s recognition of cooperatives as vital economic and social actors in Bacoor, playing a crucial role in the city’s development agenda.
