Bacoor City, May 18, 2025 – This morning, Bacoor City hosted the “Strike Zone: Car-Free Bacoor” 3k run, a resounding success drawing over 2,000 participants. Organized by the City Government’s Barangay Management Information System (Mr. Rob Saluna and Mr. Ferdineil Esguerra), the event promoted health and wellness as part of Mayor Strike B. Revilla’s initiative to encourage a healthier lifestyle among residents. The run, held along Nomo Avenue (near Roma Cafe and Vita Toscana), featured Strike Dance Fitness instructors and was sponsored by MWell, GU Nutrition, Brooks (Mr. Gian Santos and Khiester Bernardino), and Acaizen.
Mayor Strike and Sports Director Michael Ver Antony Comaling participated in the run, emphasizing the importance of regular exercise and family bonding. Mayor Strike also announced plans to propose the creation of a dedicated Sports and Wellness Department to further support city-wide health initiatives. The event recognized Ms. Sandra S. Bautista (Tennis), Ms. Cassandra Manara (Swimming), and Ms. Suuzie Mae Muelan (Billiards Girls) Bacoor’s representatives at the upcoming Palarong Pambansa in Ilocos.
The “Strike Zone” run’s success underscores Bacoor City’s commitment to a healthy and active community. The significant turnout reflects residents’ enthusiasm for Mayor Strike’s “Health is Wealth” message, marking a positive step towards a more health-conscious Bacoor.
