Bacoor City, July 12, 2025 — The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla through the Bacoor Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (BDRRMO) headed by Mr. Richard Quion, organized the “Stride As One” training and seminar aimed at strengthening the city’s disaster preparedness and resilience. The event was held at the Bacoor City Hall Lobby.
Mayor Strike B. Revilla was joined by Councilors Mike Bautista and Noly Galvez, as well as Barangay Captains Bob Binghay of Molino 5 and Narciso De Guzman of Mambog 1. Participants included members of barangay disaster groups, personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Philippine Coast Guard, and Philippine Army Reservists.
During the event, Mayor Strike emphasized the city’s continuous investment in equipment, facilities, and training to ensure readiness during emergencies and disasters. He highlighted the establishment of the Fire & Rescue Village, which educates children on fire safety from a young age, and the requirement for all workers in Bacoor to undergo first aid training as part of the working permit process.
Mayor Strike also showcased modern equipment and vehicles available to the city, which can be deployed or loaned during calamities. He praised the disaster group’s dedication in preparing for real-life emergencies through programs like this training, reinforcing Bacoor’s commitment to building a resilient community.
