Bacoor City, August 6, 2025 — The City Engineering Office conducted an actual site inspection of the Department of Public Works and Highways’ (DPWH) ongoing riprap and riverdrive project in Barangay San Nicolas 3. The inspection was led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla and Engr. Jicky Jutba, head of the City Engineering Office.
During the inspection, attention was drawn to the collapsing riprap debris falling into the creek, which could obstruct water flow. This blockage poses a significant risk of flooding, especially during typhoon season when heavy rains can cause water levels to rise rapidly.
Mayor Strike called on the DPWH, the agency responsible for the project, to address the issue promptly and, if possible, to complete the necessary repairs as soon as possible to prevent potential flooding hazards and ensure the safety of the community. The city government remains vigilant in monitoring infrastructure projects to safeguard residents from natural calamities.
