Bacoor City, July 29, 2025 — Mayor Strike B. Revilla, together with Engr. Jicky Jutba of the City Engineering Office, witnessed a demonstration of a new FlexShaft drain cleaning machine conducted by a professional tools expert, Mr. Nelson Opeña, at the Office of the Mayor.
The Bacoor LGU currently operates two vacuum trucks that circulate throughout the city to clean drainage systems. However, these large trucks cannot access tight or hard-to-reach areas. The FlexShaft machine complements this by being compact yet powerful enough to clean drain lines in cramped spaces, commonly found in residential and commercial areas. It offers fast setup, cordless convenience, and efficient cleaning. Its chain knockers expand for thorough pipe cleaning.
Mayor Strike emphasized the importance of this machine for barangays, enabling them to have their own reliable equipment for de-logging activities. This will help ensure that canals are thoroughly cleaned, reducing flooding risks by maintaining proper water flow. The machine is also equipped with a built-in camera that can be used to inspect drainage canals and is invaluable in emergency situations, such as locating trapped individuals during disasters. Mayor Strike envisions equipping every barangay in Bacoor with this tool to improve disaster preparedness and maintain the city’s drainage systems effectively.
