Bacoor City, April 8, 2025 – Mayor Strike B. Revilla met with representatives from Maynilad Water Services Inc. (MWSI), China International Water & Electric Corp. (CWE), the Department of Transportation (DOTR), and the LRT Line 1 Cavite South Extension project today to discuss traffic management strategies for upcoming infrastructure projects. The meeting, organized by the Bacoor Traffic Management Department (BTMD) headed by Ms. Leslie Morales, was held at the Strike Conference Room.
The discussion focused on mitigating potential traffic disruptions during the implementation of the Maynilad and CWE pipe-laying project along Aguinaldo Highway, which will coincide with the construction of LRT Line 1 Cavite South Extension stations. Mayor Strike emphasized the need for a comprehensive traffic management plan to minimize inconvenience to residents and commuters.
Engr. Jicky Jutba of the City Engineering Office, MWSI personnel led by Mr. Apollo C. Tiglao, CWE personnel led by Mr. Jedah De Mateo, and DOTR & LRT Line 1 Cavite South Extension personnel led by Mr. Teerinz Pesquera participated in the discussion. Mayor Strike urged all parties involved to thoroughly study the potential impacts and develop a detailed proposal that prioritizes the welfare of the community.
