Bacoor City, April 28, 2025 – The City Council for the Protection of Children (CCPC) held its 2nd Quarter Meeting at the Strike Multi-purpose Hall, joined by members of the Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking in Persons (LCAT) for a joint session focused on child protection and women’s rights. The meeting, organized by the Office of the Mayor, brought together CCPC members, LCAT representatives, and other stakeholders to discuss key issues affecting children and women in the city.
The CCPC meeting agenda focused on several important topics, including a review of the CCPC’s performance and effectiveness in addressing children’s needs through a Functionality Assessment. Discussions also centered on current challenges faced by children in Bacoor, encompassing areas such as education, health, and safety. Furthermore, the meeting delved into a review and evaluation of the implementation of programs and policies aimed at protecting and promoting the welfare of children. Finally, an open forum allowed for deliberation on other relevant issues related to child protection.
The LCAT-VAWC (Violence Against Women and Children) component of the meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between the two committees in addressing issues related to women’s rights and the protection of children from abuse and exploitation. The joint session allowed for a comprehensive approach to addressing these critical issues, ensuring a safer and more supportive environment for both children and women in Bacoor.
