January 8, 2024 – The City Government of Bacoor, under the leadership of Mayor Strike B. Revilla, held a special “Kalinga sa Matanda” program today at the Bacoor Coliseum, demonstrating its commitment to the well-being of the city’s senior citizens. Organized by the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) headed by Ms. Lilian Ugalde and the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCa) headed by Atty. Venus De Castro, the event drew a crowd of approximately 1,900 senior citizens from various subdivisions in Barangay Molino 3.
The program featured a special video message from Vice Mayor Rowena B. Mendiola, expressing her appreciation for the senior citizens and their contributions to the community. Councilors Rey Palabrica, Alde Pagulayan, Rey Fabian, and Obet Advincula, along with former Kapitan Horacio Brilliantes, and Ms. Khei Sanchez, speaking on behalf of Mayor Strike B. Revilla, were also present to show their support. Barangay Molino 3 officials were also in attendance. The event was a heartwarming display of care and appreciation for the senior citizens of Bacoor, with various activities and entertainment culminating in the distribution of “Kalinga sa Matanda” packages, which included financial aid.
This gesture of support highlighted the city’s dedication to ensuring the well-being and happiness of its elderly residents. The “Kalinga sa Matanda” program is a testament to the City Government of Bacoor’s commitment to providing support and services to its senior citizens.
