Bacoor City, March 4, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor today met with representatives from PLDT to discuss a collaborative initiative aimed at empowering Bacooreño residents, particularly the youth, through social media and digital marketing. The meeting, held at the Strike Conference Room, was led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla and included officials from the City Government, including Atty. Kim Nyca Lofrangco (Head, Office of the City Legal), Mr. Edwin Guinto (City Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs), and Ms. Khei Javier Sanchez (LEDIPO Head). PLDT was represented by Mr. Niño Carandang (AVP Retail and Online Marketing), Ms. Anna Fernando (Head, National Retail Management), and Mr. Valentino Fule (Head, South Luzon, Home Retail Management).
The meeting focused on a proposed partnership between the City Government and PLDT to conduct a Free seminar on social media influencing and content creation for TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms. The seminar aims to equip Bacooreños with the skills and knowledge to leverage social media for personal and professional growth, particularly in the area of entrepreneurship.
Mayor Strike B. Revilla also proposed the creation of a Bacoor City Official Marketplace on social media, a secure platform where Bacooreño residents can showcase and sell their products and services. The marketplace would provide a safe and accessible platform for local businesses, particularly young entrepreneurs, to reach a wider audience and generate income.
PLDT representatives also suggested leveraging the PayMaya platform in collaboration with the Bacoor LGU, further empowering residents with digital financial solutions.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to explore further collaborative projects between the City Government of Bacoor and PLDT, focusing on initiatives that will provide marketing support and digital empowerment to Bacooreño residents. This partnership signifies a shared vision to empower the community and create a thriving digital economy in Bacoor City.
