Bacoor City, February 20, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, under the leadership of Mayor Strike B. Revilla, took a significant step towards efficient and secure data management today with a meeting for all 47 Barangay Secretaries. The meeting, organized by Mr. Ferdineil E. Esguerra, head of the Barangay Management Information System, was held at the Strike Multipurpose Hall.
The meeting focused on updating the Bacoor Management Information System (BMIS) for each barangay in the city. The BMIS, a first-of-its-kind initiative in Cavite, aims to systemize and secure barangay records, ensuring their accessibility and preservation even with changes in barangay leadership. This system is also known as the Systemized Barangay Records (SBR) and will provide a centralized platform for managing vital barangay data, including resident information, permits, and other important documents.
The BMIS will not only streamline operations but also enhance transparency and accountability within each barangay. Mayor Strike B. Revilla, along with Atty. Admin Neri from the City Administration, emphasized the importance of this initiative in strengthening the city’s overall governance and service delivery.
The implementation of the BMIS underscores Bacoor City’s commitment to innovation and modernization. By embracing technology and implementing efficient systems, the city government is setting a new standard for local governance in Cavite, ensuring that vital data is securely maintained and readily accessible for the benefit of its residents.
