Bacoor City, April 8, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor and Philippine Christian University (PCU) met today to discuss a collaborative effort to conduct a comprehensive census and community survey along the Imus River. The meeting, held at the SBR Conference Room, was facilitated by Mr. RJ Revilla, who brought together representatives from both institutions.
Leading the Bacoor City delegation were Mayor Strike B. Revilla, Atty. Kim Nyca Lofrangco, Head of the City Legal Service Office, and Mr. Rollie Vocalan, Head of the City Economic and Social Development Office (CESD). PCU was represented by Dr. Arturo Tagle, Dean of the College of Criminology, BGen. Ramon Santos, Director of PCU NSTP, Ms. Gelene Anquilo, Coordinator of PCU DasmariƱas, and other PCU officials from both the DasmariƱas and Manila campuses.
The census and community survey aim to gather valuable data for research and record-keeping purposes. The project will also foster environmental and cultural awareness among residents, with a particular focus on the importance of protecting the mangroves of Bacoor. Both parties expressed their commitment to working together to ensure the success of the project.
A Memorandum of Agreement ( MOA ) is being drafted to formalize the collaboration between PCU and the City Government of Bacoor. This partnership is a significant step towards promoting environmental sustainability, community engagement, and knowledge sharing in Bacoor City. The City Government is confident that the collaboration with PCU will yield positive results for the benefit of the entire community.
