Bacoor City, July 12, 2025 — The City Government of Bacoor, through the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) headed by Mrs. Emiliana Ugalde, held the 51st Nutrition Month Celebration with the theme “Food at Nutrition Security maging priority, Sapat na Pagkain Karapatan Natin.” The event took place at the Strike Gymnasium and gathered various community members to promote proper nutrition and food security.
The celebration was graced by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, Board Member Alde Pagulayan, Councilors Horacio Brilliantes, Mike Bautista, and Eric Ugalde. Also present were Ms. Lourdes Bulante-Orongan, RND and Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator of NNC Calabarzon, and Ms. Khrystal Mae Velasco, RND and Project Development Officer of ISFP unit DSWD Field Office IV-A.
Key activities included the ceremonial turnover of the Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP) check, the kickoff of the 15th cycle feeding program with selected Child Development Center (CDC) pupils and their parents, and the Nutrition Month pledge signing. Participants included day care students, barangay officials, CDC parents, coordinators, and PhilHealth personnel.
The event underscored the city’s commitment to ensuring food and nutrition security as a fundamental right, encouraging the community to prioritize adequate and nutritious food for all residents.
