Bacoor City, February 24, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, under the leadership of Mayor Strike B. Revilla, today launched the 4th batch of its highly successful Safety Training program, aimed at empowering aspiring drivers with the knowledge and skills to become responsible road users. The program, a joint initiative with the SK Federation and Liga ng Barangay (LnB), was held at the Revilla Hall.
The training, conducted by experienced instructors Mr. Jonathan Medina and Mr. Patrick Añasco from the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Kawit and Silang, respectively, provided valuable insights into road safety, traffic rules, and responsible driving practices. More than 150 Bacooreños, who are beneficiaries of the program, participated in the training, eager to learn and prepare for their driving journey.
A key highlight of the program is the provision of free student driver’s permits to all participants. This initiative, a first of its kind in the Philippines, is fully funded by the City Government of Bacoor, demonstrating its commitment to empowering its residents and promoting road safety. Mayor Strike B. Revilla, along with LnB Vice President Randy Francisco and SK Federation officials led by SK President Palm Angel Buncio, emphasized the importance of responsible driving and the city’s dedication to fostering a safe and disciplined driving culture in Bacoor.
The 4th batch of the Safety Training program underscores the City Government of Bacoor’s commitment to investing in its citizens’ well-being and ensuring a safer and more responsible driving environment for all. This initiative serves as a model for other LGUs nationwide, showcasing the power of community-driven programs in empowering individuals and promoting positive change.
