Bacoor City, August 11, 2025 — The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla and Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, held a flag raising ceremony at the Strike Gymnasium, Bacoor Government Center, to mark the celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2025.
The event gathered city officials, youth leaders, and students to honor the spirit and contributions of the youth in Bacoor. Key personalities present included Mayor Strike B. Revilla, Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, and members of the Sangguniang Panglungsod.
The program opened with prayers led by UPHSD Molino choral, followed by the entrance of colors by the Joyful Together Volunteers (JTV) Cadets. The Philippine National Anthem was performed by Ms. Kathryn Sullivan and Ms. Veatriz Carreon, presidents of Eastern Bacoor National High School, while Mr. Joseph Luke Ongliongco, president of the Student Government of CAVSU Bacoor, led the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas.
Youth leaders took center stage with the Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan led by SK Chairperson Hon. Christine G. Genotiva of Zapote 1 and the Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas by SK Chairperson Hon. Juanise Rainiel Ignacio of SINBANALI. Mr. Justin Luie Bugarin, president of the Pag-Asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) Bacoor, delivered the Quality Policy Statement.
The program featured an audiovisual presentation of Bagong Pilipinas, the Cavite Hymn, and the Bacoor Hymn by Harrell Horne Integrated School. SK Federation President Hon. Palm Angel Buncio gave the opening remarks, followed by the awarding of certificates and incentives to Latin Honor Awardees and special awardees, including a figure skating recognition.
In a significant gesture of support, 15 brand new cellphones were turned over to PNP Bacoor, led by PLtCol Alexie Desamito. The event also showcased performances by the CAVS Sparks Cheer Nova and the SK Federation’s cheer and band groups.
The Bacoor Sports and Wellness Department launched the “Laro’t Saya Sa Bacoor” program, with Mr. Roy introduces upcoming sports and wellness initiatives. Michael Ver Comaling, Sports Director, awarded plaques of appreciation to partner institutions.
A special launch of the Katipunan ng Kabataan ID, featuring the turnover of NFC cards, was conducted by Rob Saluna of the Barangay Management Information System (BMIS). An AVP highlighting the accomplishments of the host offices, LYDO led by Ms. Angie Cariaso and SK Federation, was also presented.
Guest speaker Mr. Amerson R. Aguinaldo, Area Officer and Cluster Head of the National Youth Commission (NYC) CALABARZON, inspired the audience with his message. The Dominican Dance Company from St. Dominic College of Asia provided an intermission performance.
Mayor Strike B. Revilla delivered a special message, including the weekly accomplishment report, emphasizing the city’s commitment to youth development.
