During the 186th Climate Outlook Forum held on 29 July 2025, CLIMPS Chief Ana Liza Solis noted that ENSO-neutral condition is present in the tropical Pacific and is likely to persist until Feb-Mar-Apr 2026. However, climate models suggest higher-than-climatology likelihood for La Niña conditions through the Dec-Jan-Feb 2026 season.
