Busan, South Korea, July 15, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, under the leadership of Mayor Strike B. Revilla, participated in the World Smart City Expo (WSCE) 2025 held at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO). The event was organized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea and the Korean Overseas Infrastructure and Urban Development Corporation. It brought together mayors, vice mayors, national and local government officials, corporate executives, representatives from international development agencies, as well as partners from academia, business, and civil society.
As an invited participant in the World Smart City Expo Leaders Forum 2025, the City Government of Bacoor shared its commitment to advancing smarter, more resilient, and people-centered urban development. The forum provided a valuable platform for exchanging expertise and fostering collaboration among global leaders dedicated to sustainable city transformation.
During the event, Mayor Strike B. Revilla delivered a keynote speech highlighting Bacoor’s digital innovations achieved through effective public-private partnerships. The Mayor emphasized the city’s achievements in digital literacy and education, traffic management, infrastructure development, peace and order, climate resilience, and streamlined government services. The Bacoor Smart City Master Plan was presented as a testament to the city’s dedication to building a more connected, efficient, and future-ready community for all Bacooreños.
The City Government of Bacoor also reaffirmed its strong commitment to accelerating digital transformation not only within the city but across the entire province. Despite celebrating its 13th year as a city, Bacoor is determined to rapidly embrace innovation. The City Government expresses its sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea and the Korean Overseas Infrastructure and Urban Development Corporation for organizing this prestigious event and for the opportunity to participate.
