Bacoor City, May 19, 2025 – The City of Bacoor marked the Jubilee Year 2025 with a significant event at the local Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) facility in Barangay Molino 2. A joint initiative of the City Government and the BJMP, the celebration combined a Holy Eucharistic Mass, a gift-giving program, and the inauguration of a new Mini-Revilla Center and Medical Wing.
The event was attended by numerous dignitaries, including Congresswoman Lani Mercado Revilla; SK Federation President Palm Angel Buncio; JCSUPT Hilbert M. Flor, MPSA (Regional Director, Jail Bureau); JSUPT Christopher R. Penilla (Warden, BJMP Male Dorm); JCINSP Analiza G. Foster (Warden, BJMP Female Dorm); JSUPT Rev. Fr. Angelo Benjamin C. Durana (Chief, Regional Chaplaincy Service Office); Most Rev. BP. Oscar Jaime L. Florencio (Bishop, Military Ordinariate of the Philippines); JSSUPT Rev. Fr. Juan B. Buban (Chief, Regional Chaplaincy Section); BJMP Chaplains; and FSINSP Precious V. Petalio (Bacoor City Acting City Fire Marshal). The celebration also included the participation of persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) and BJMP personnel.
The highlight of the event was the blessing and inauguration of the new Mini-Revilla Center and Medical Wing, representing a substantial upgrade to the jail’s facilities. Combined with the generous gift-giving program, this demonstrated the city’s commitment to improving the well-being of inmates and fostering a spirit of hope and renewal in line with the Jubilee Year’s theme.
