Bacoor City, February 14, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, through the Office of the City Health Services (OCHS), today hosted a special event to celebrate Heart and Cancer Awareness Month. The event, held at the Bacoor Government Center Main Lobby, offered a variety of activities aimed at promoting health and wellness, raising awareness about heart disease and cancer, and encouraging early detection and prevention.
Mayor Strike B. Revilla, together with Councilor Rey Palabrica and Dra. Ivy Marie Yrastorza, Head of OCHS, led the event, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and seeking regular health check-ups.
The event featured a 30-minute Zumba session led by instructors from the Strike Dance Fitness Instructor Association, getting everyone moving and energized. Attendees also had the opportunity to avail of free health screenings, including fasting/random blood sugar, cholesterol, hepatitis B screening, and ECG. The event further provided free pneumonia vaccines, fun games with exciting freebies and free massage services from the City Livelihood and Development Department.
The City Government of Bacoor is committed to promoting the health and well-being of its residents. This event served as a reminder of the importance of early detection, prevention, and a healthy lifestyle in combating heart disease and cancer.
