Bacoor City, November 26, 2024 – The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, held a special OFW Family Day and Orientation Seminar for Unplanned Return at the Main Square Mall. The event was organized by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), led by Dr. Abraham “Bob” De Castro, and the OFW Help Desk Office of Bacoor City.
The event gathered over 300 OFWs and their families, who were welcomed by Mayor Revilla and representatives from key organizations like Green House Molino Site and OWWA Calabarzon. The event aimed to celebrate the contributions of Overseas Filipino Workers and provide them with valuable information and support, particularly for those facing unplanned returns.
During the event, the city provided medical assistance, scholarships, and the Balik Pinas Balik Hanapbuhay (Livelihood Program) to four deserving OFWs. Participants were also updated on the latest OWWA programs and projects, ensuring they have access to the resources they need. The event served as a platform for the city to show its appreciation for the OFW community and its commitment to assisting them in every way possible.
