The HOPE In Me Club Foundation Project, a collaborative initiative, held a relief distribution event yesterday, August 22, 2024, at the lobby of the City Government of Bacoor, to provide much-needed assistance to fisherfolks affected by the recent oil spill.
The event was led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, who expressed his gratitude to the sponsors, the Chinese Filipino Business Club Inc. and the Filipino Chino Magkaibigan Foundation, for their generous support. Other prominent figures present included Doc. Cristina Alberto, Mr. Jefferson Lau, Chairman of the Binondo Federation of Barangay Chair, and Pres. Samuel Uy.
Over 500 fisherfolks from Bacoor City received grocery packs, providing them with immediate relief and support during this challenging time. The initiative aimed to ease the burden on the fishing community who have been severely impacted by the oil spill.
Mayor Revilla emphasized the importance of community solidarity and thanked all involved for their commitment to helping those in need. The HOPE In Me Club Foundation continues to demonstrate its dedication to assisting vulnerable communities, extending a helping hand to those affected by unforeseen events.
