Bacoor City, August 5, 2025 — The Hope in Me Club, led by Dra. Cristina Alberto, in partnership with the City Government of Bacoor under Mayor Strike B. Revilla, organized a Joint Disaster Relief Operation at the Strike Gymnasium. The event gathered key leaders including Councilor Jeff Lau of District 3 Manila, President Samuel Uy of the Chinese Filipino Business Club, and President Jackie Tiu of the Cavite Chinese Filipino Business Club, uniting efforts to aid those affected by recent typhoons and floods.
Several organizations participated in this collaborative effort, such as the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry, the Association of Cavite Filipino Chinese Business Club Inc., and the Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Cavite, Inc., among others. Relief packs, rice, and medicines were distributed, with special focus on supporting E-Trike, Pedicab, and TODA drivers, recognizing their vital role in the community.
Mayor Strike B. Revilla expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the Chinese Filipino sponsors for their generous support and commended Dra. Cristina Alberto and the Hope in Me Club for their leadership and commitment. This initiative is part of Operation Brotherhood, a program by the Filipino at Tsino Magkaibigan Foundation, working closely with Filipino-Chinese organizations to strengthen community ties.
The campaign highlights the spirit of unity between Filipino and Chinese communities, captured in the tagline “Dugong Tsino, Pusong Pinoy,” demonstrating how collaboration can bring hope and relief to those in need during difficult times.
