July 16, 2024 — Today marked a significant milestone as the Office of Congresswoman Lani Mercado-Revilla, the City Government of Bacoor under the leadership of Mayor Strike B. Revilla, and Cavite State University (CavSU) united for the groundbreaking ceremony of the new Cavite State University Bacoor City Campus in Barangay Molino 3.
The groundbreaking ceremony saw the participation of distinguished guests, including Congresswoman Lani Mercado-Revilla; Congressman Bryan Revilla of Agimat Party List; Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista-Mendiola and members of the Sangguniang Panglungsod; Councilor Randy Francisco, LNB Vice President; Dr. Babylyn Pambid, School Division Superintendent; Barangay Captain Jun Advincula and the Barangay Council; Pastor Sam Baldon from BCTO; Usec. Roberto Bernardo, DPWH Undersecretary; Mr. Isidro Encarnacion, Assistant Regional Director DPWH R4A; Ms. Jennifer Almanzor, Assistant District Engineer DPWH Cavite 3rd District; Dr. Almira Magcawas, Vice President for Planning and Development, CavSU; Dr. Melbourne Talactac, Vice President for Research and Extension, CavSU; and Ms. Menvylus Macalalad, Campus Administrator, CavSU Bacoor City Campus.
The event was further enlivened by performances from the Harmonic Voices Chorale and the Unity Band, with the CavSU ROTC providing ceremonial support.
The new Cavite State University Bacoor City Campus will feature a 12-storey building designed to provide state-of-the-art educational facilities. This project underscores the commitment of local leaders to enhancing educational opportunities and fostering community development in Bacoor City.
