On February 17, 2025, under the leadership of JSUPT CHRISTOPHER R PENILLA, City Jail Warden, and JSINSP EDGARDO M PELAEZ, Assistant City Jail Warden, a Fire Safety Seminar on Fire Prevention, Inspection, and Assessment was held at the Bacoor City Jail – Male Dormitory. The seminar was led by FO3 Joseph B. Ponte, FO1 Vincent F. Verseles, and FO1 Hans Murry R. Robis, and was attended by 11 personnel, 55 Male PDL, and 28 OJT students.
As part of the seminar, a comprehensive inspection of key areas was conducted, including the kitchen, cafeteria, bakery, activity area, health station, admin office, and cell areas. This inspection was supervised by SJO2 Jenylin F Quintana and SJO2 Joffrey B Maliones, ensuring all safety protocols were reviewed and adhered to.
Participants gained invaluable knowledge on fire prevention, learning about safety protocols, fire hazards, and proper emergency responses. Through this session, they realized the importance of staying vigilant and well-prepared to prevent fire-related incidents. The seminar emphasized that each individual plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment, and that simple actions can make a significant difference in preventing potential fires.
