Bacoor City, June 2, 2025 – A significant flag-raising ceremony, jointly organized by DepEd Bacoor and the SK Federation, took place yesterday at the Strike Gymnasium. The event, under the patronage of Mayor Strike B. Revilla and Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, drew a large and diverse crowd, including city officials, employees, and various community groups. Key attendees were City Administrator Atty. Aimee Torrefrangca Neri, SK Federation President Palm Angel Buncio, BM Alde Pagulayan, and Dra. Babylyn M. Pambid, CES SDS.
The ceremony unfolded with opening prayers by Mr. Zoilo V. Handayan Jr., followed by the formal entrance of the colors by Bacoor BJMP personnel and the Philippine National Anthem performed by the Bacoor Unity Band. Oaths and pledges were solemnly recited, led by Mr. Arwin M. Ternida (DepEd) for the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, Mr. Teodoro A. Gloriani (Principal) for the Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan, and Mr. Ronald Rio (Principal) for the Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas. The Quality Policy Statement was delivered by SK Trisha Mae. Musical performances added to the occasion, with the Bacoor Hope Childers Choir and Maliksi Elementary School performing the AVP of Bagong Pilipinas, the Cavite Hymn, and the Bacoor Hymn. Opening remarks were given by Hon. SK President Palm Angel Buncio (SK Chairperson of Molino 4).
The program continued with intermission numbers featuring performances by DepEd and Notable address given by Guess Speaker Board Member Chelsea Sarno (also the SK Federation President of Cavite). A dedicated DepEd committee presented a comprehensive overview of their accomplishments. A key highlight was the ceremonial turnover of Brigada Eskwela materials, overseen by Dra. Babylyn Pambid, CES, SDS, Ms. Lualhati O. Cadavedo (OIC-ASDS), various school heads, and the FPTA. BM Alde Pagulayan concluded the ceremony with a special message conveying Mayor Revilla’s weekly accomplishment report. The event successfully demonstrated the strong collaboration between the city government, DepEd, the SK Federation, and the broader Bacoor community.
