Bacoor City, November 25, 2024 – The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, hosted a meaningful Flag Raising Ceremony today at the Strike Gymnasium, commemorating National Flag Day. The event was organized in partnership with the City Veterinary Office, headed by Dra. Ella Mae Gandia, and the NGO, Strike Kapuso Ladies.
The ceremony brought together various sectors of the community, including City Government officials, employees, DILG representatives, PNP, BFP, BJMP, BTMD, DepEd Bacoor, OSCAs, PWDs, and NGOs, all united in their love for the country.
The ceremony began with an opening prayer by Pastor Miguel “Mike” Bautista, followed by the entrance of the color guard, led by BFP Bacoor personnel. The Philippine National Anthem was performed by the Bacoor Unity Band, inspiring a sense of national pride.
The ceremony included the Oath of Allegiance to the Philippine Flag by Ms. Rose De Guia, the Oath of Public Service by Dra. Ella Mae Gandia, and the Pledge to a New Philippines by Dra. Ella Mae Gandia. Dra. Isabel Llave delivered the Quality Policy Statement, emphasizing the City’s commitment to excellence.
The event showcased the achievements of Bacoor City’s talented individuals and groups. Juan Carlo Morales, from Barangay Salinas 2, was recognized as a World Champion in the CALL OF DUTY Mobile Games World Championship 2024, held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Huberto L. Loreto, from Mambog 4, a PWD, was honored for his Bronze Medal win in the Table Tennis Class 8, Men Double and Team Event at the 8th Philippine National PARA Games 2024.
The City of Bacoor also received recognition for its successful completion and launch of the Local ICT Roadmap under the Digital Cities Program. Mayor Strike B. Revilla was included in the Top 10 City Mayors of the Gawad Pilipino Lingkod Bayan Awards 2024.
The ceremony concluded with a special message from Mayor Strike B. Revilla, highlighting the City’s commitment to serving its citizens and fostering a stronger sense of community. The event also featured a presentation by the City Veterinary Office, highlighting their accomplishments, and a special address by Ms. Anna Cabrera, Executive Director of The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). The event served as a platform to promote animal welfare and raise awareness about the importance of responsible pet ownership.
The Flag Raising Ceremony was a powerful reminder of the importance of unity, patriotism, and service to the community. It also highlighted the City’s dedication to recognizing its heroes and promoting a brighter future for all Bacooreños.
