Bacoor City, March 24, 2025– The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla and Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, held a flag-raising ceremony at the Strike Gymnasium on March 24, 2025, to commemorate Mayor Revilla’s birthday and celebrate Women’s Month. The event, hosted by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD), was attended by a multitude of city officials, employees, and community members.
The ceremony featured a diverse program, beginning with a doxology performed by the BOS RAK BAND and the entrance of the color guard, composed entirely of women from the Bacoor PNP. The Philippine National Anthem was presented via AVP, followed by the recitation of the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas by Ms. Paulyn Linatoc, Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan by Ms. Ericka Mae Guyuran, and Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas by Ms. Kyra Denise Morales. Ms. Giro Kinugawa delivered the Quality Policy Statement, and Aniban Elementary School students performed an AVP showcasing Bagong Pilipinas, the Cavite Hymn, and the Bacoor Hymn.
The event was graced by the presence of Mrs. Chaye Cabal Revilla, Congresswoman Lani Mercado Revilla, members of the Sangguniang Panglungsod and Artist Jed Medina.
Opening remarks were given by Hon. Palm Angel Buncio, SK Federation President, and a special message was delivered by Hon. Camille A. Villar, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives. The event also highlighted the achievements of several individuals and groups, including the awarding of eight students from the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta Molino Campus who won at the STEMCO Global Finals in Singapore, and winners of the Global Reach Festival in Massachusetts, USA. Furthermore, four students were recognized for their academic excellence, receiving Latin honors.
CSWD Head Ms. Lilian De Rosas Ugalde presented an accomplishment report, and the celebration included a raffle draw, musical performances by the BOS RAK BAND (including a special presentation of 55 roses to empowered women of Bacoor by Mayor Revilla), and AVP greetings from city employees. Mayor Revilla concluded the event with a special message outlining his weekly accomplishments. The event showcased a vibrant display of community spirit and celebrated both the contributions of women and the leadership of Mayor Revilla.
